Lesson Two
I'll
start each of these with a prayer that I say when I need wisdom. The Lords
Prayer.
Our Father in heaven Hallowed be Your name.
Your kingdom come.
Your will be done.
On earth as it is in heaven.
Give me this day my daily bread, and forgive me my trespasses.
As I forgive those who trespass against me.
Lead me not into Temptation,"But deliver me from the evil one. For Yours
is the kingdom and the Power and the Glory for ever.
1chr;4-10,And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying,"Oh,
that you would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would
be with me, and that you would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!".
So God granted him what he requested.
Lord I ask you to take the wool off my eyes, and the
wax out of my ears, and blow the cob webs from my brain. I ask You to do this
so I can see what You show me, and I can hear what You tell me, and understand
it all, in Jesus name Amen.
I ask God, where should I start with all this? He said to start
in the middle and give the years from the time king Solomon gave the command
to build the Lords temple back to the birth of Abraham. So lets get started,
shall we.
We'll start with 1 Kings:6-1. 1, And it came to pass in the four hundred and
eightieth year after the children of Israel had come out of the land of Egypt,
in the fourth year of Solomon's reign over Israel, in the month of ziv, which
is the second month, that he began to build the house of the Lord.
In the fourth year of Solomon's reign, this means Solomon had been king for
four [4] years. This means Solomon became king in the year 476 after Egypt.
Which means king David died the same year. But how old was David when he died
? Let's see what the Bible has to say.
1Kings:2-10&11. 10, So David rested with his fathers, and was buried in
the city of David. 11, The period that David reigned over Israel was forty
years: seven years he reigned in Hebron, and in Jerusalem he reigned thirty
three years.
Solomon was made king in the year 476 from Exodus, David
became king 40 years earlier in the year 436 from Exodus. In the book of 2
Samuel:5-3&4 it is written, 3, So all the elders of
Israel came to the king of Hebron, and king David made a covenant with them,
at Hebron before the Lord. And they anointed David king over Israel. 4 David
was thirty years old when he began to reign and he reigned forty years.
David started his reign in the
year 436 from Exodus. 476 - 40 = 436. David was born 30 years earlier in the
year 406 from Exodus.
480 - 4 = 476 - 40 = 436 - 30 = 406. This is a clear time line from Solomon's
4'th year as king to his fathers birth 74 years earlier.
But what does this prove?
What does it mean ?
To find the answer we must go back in time some more. Let's go
back to
Exodus:12-37, 40 & 41. 37, Then the children of Israel journeyed from
Rameses to Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, besides children.
On the feast of Passover God sent His death
angels to kill the first born in all the houses that did not have the lambs
blood over the door post. This was the fourteenth day of the first month. It
was a 3 days walk from Rameses to Succoth, which is of the edge of Egypt.
This means they walked out of Egypt on the 17'th day, of the first month.
40,
Now the sojourn of the children of Israel who lived in Egypt was four hundred
and thirty years. 430 years.
41, And it came to pass at the end of the four
hundred and thirty years- on that very same day- it came to pass that all the
armies of the Lord went out from the land of Egypt.
So this tells us that from the seventeenth day of
the first month back 430 years, earlier, was the time that the Israelites spent
in Egypt. So from the time the Israelites entered Egypt until the Exodus
was 430 years. 406 years later David was born. This is a time frame of 836
years.
836 years from Egypt to David then add
-74 years and you get 910 years from Egypt to the year 480 after Exodus.
430 + 406 + 70 + 4 = 910. Now we are going back even further in history,
to the birth of Abram.
Genesis:11-26, Now Terah lived seventy years,
and begot Abram, Nahor and Haran. This is the birth of Abram.
When Abram was 86 years old he had a son and Abram named him Ishmael.
Genesis:17-25, and Ishmael his son was thirteen
years old when he was circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin.
Now to
put it all in place. Ishmael being 13 means Abraham was 99 on Ishmaels 13'th
birthday. 86
+ 13 = 99. It also means that it was the same year that Sodom and Gomorrah
met with destruction, and that Sarah was to give birth to Isaac next year.
Genesis:17,21,"But My covenant I will
establish with Isaac, whom Sarah shall bear to you at this set time next year".
Abraham was 99 and Sarah was 89 when Ishmael was 13 and
Sodom and Gomorrah were destroyed. The following year Abraham would be 100
years old and Sarah would be 90 and Ishmael would be 14, One year after Sodom
and Gomorrah burned.
So from
the birth of Abraham to the birth of Isaac was 100 years. Terah being 70 when
Abraham was born would be 170 when Isaac was born. Terah lived 205 years, which
means that he died when
Abraham was-135 years old,
Sarah was------125 years old,
Ishmael was----49 years old,
Isaac was-------35 years old. Sarah died 2 years later at 127 years of age
Genesis; 23-1, Sarah lived one hundred and twenty seven years; these were
the years of the life of Sarah.
When Sarah died Abraham was 137 years old, Ishmael was 51 and Isaac was 37.
Isaac married Rebekah at the age of 40, 3 years after Sarah died. Abraham was
140 and Ishmael was 54.
Genesis:25-25, Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah as wife, the
daughter of Bethuel the Syrian, of Padan Aram, the sister of Laban the Syrian.
Now to Jacob and Esau.
Genesis:25-26, Afterward his brother came out, and his hand took hold of Esau's
heel: So his name was called Jacob, Isaac was sixty years old when she bore
them.
Abraham being 140 when Isaac married Rebekah and 20 years later Jacob
and Esau were born, means that Abraham was 160, Ishmael was 74 and Isaac was
60 when Jacob was born.
100 + 40 + 20 = 160.
Genesis: 25-7, This is the sum of the years of Abrahams
life which he lived; one hundred and seventy five years.
Abraham being 160 when Jacob was born means Abraham died 15 years later. Ishmael
was 89, Isaac was 75 and Jacob was 15 years old.
Genesis:25-17, These were
the years of the life of Ishmael; one hundred and thirty seven years.: and
he breathed his last and died.
Isaac was 123, & Jacob was 63 when Ishmael died.
Genesis;35, 28 & 29
28, Now the days of Isaac were one hundred and eighty
years.
29, So Isaac breathed his last, and died, and was gathered to his people,
being old and full of days. And his sons Esau and Jacob buried him.
Isaac lived 180 years, and Israel [Jacob] was 120 years old when his father
died. 120 + 60 = 180. Joseph was 29 and had been in Egypt for 12 years when
Isaac died.
Genesis 47-8&9.
8, Pharaoh said to Jacob, how old are you ?
9, And Jacob said to Pharaoh,"The days of the years of my pilgrimage are
one hundred and thirty years. Few and evil have been the days of the years
of my life, and they have not attained to the days of the years of the life
of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage.
Genesis:46-27, And the sons of Joseph who were born in Egypt were two persons,
all the persons of the house of Jacob who went to Egypt were seventy.
Abraham to Isaac-100 years.
Isaac to Jacob-------60 years.
Jacob to Egypt-----130 years.
Abraham to Egypt-290 years. This is a clear time frame from Abraham to Egypt
which was 290 years. Now add the 430 years from Egypt to Exodus and you get
720 years.
Genesis;20-7, "Now therefore, restore the mans wife: for he is a prophet,
and he will pray for you and you shall live. But if you don't restore her,
Know that you shall surely die, you and all who are yours".
This is the first time the word prophet is used..
Abraham, Isaac,Jacob,Joseph& Moses were prophets. So from Abraham to Moses
all there were was , mans word. Then 183 days after the Passover of
the year of Exodus Moses gave the Written law to the Israelites. {October-1-1450
bc}
Thus we have the Written Law of Moses and the
Prophets.
The number 6 is the number for man.
The number 120 is the number of completion.
So 6 x 120 would be the completion of mans time to say the law.
6 x 120 = 720.
Abraham to Egypt---------------290 years.
Egypt to Exodus-----------------430 years.
Abraham to Exodus--------------720 years.
Exodus to Start of Gods house---480 years.
Abraham to Gods house---------1200 years.
6 x 120 = 720
4 x 120 = 480.
10 x 120 = 1200.
10 is the number of divine order so
1200 years would be a time of divine completion. Now back to David's birth.
David as we now know was born 406 years after Exodus. Exodus was 720 years
after Abraham.
720 + 406 = 1126 years. Now lets take a trip foreword to
Matthew:1-7, So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations.
1126 years divided by 14 generations equal,
80.4285714285 years per generation.
This is what the Bible says.
